The Bachelor of Science The Bachelor of Science prepares you for professional schools including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant, and optometry, graduate studies in biochemistry, or to pursue careers as professional biochemists. This degree includes a choice between four tracks: 

  • American Chemical Society (ACS) - approved by the American Chemical Society, in addition to in-depth biochemistry courses, includes additional courses in inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and calculus.
  • Biomedical Sciences - in addition to in-depth biochemistry courses, includes more flexibility in upper-level biology and chemistry courses for those preparing to enter professional schools of medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, pharmacy or optometry, enter graduate school in biochemistry or molecular biology, or who wish to enter the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Pre-Vet track - prepares students who plan to enter professional veterinary schools.
  • In addition, the health professions fast-track cooperative degree offers students the chance to enter professional school after only three years at ACU.

The Bachelor of Arts prepares you for entry into professional schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or optometry, or into careers in biotechnology, as a physician assistant, or pharmaceuticals.
