Finance from University of Tennessee Martin also prepares students to puruse Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations, or graduate degrees in business or law. A minor in Finance is also available.

Practical Experience

Investment students work in teams to manage real money in a stock portfolio valued at more that $500,000 through the TVA Investment Challenge program. Banking students work in teams in the Stanford Bank Game and attend Tennessee Bankers Association conferences.

BSBA Learning Objectives related to the CBGA Mission:

Students will develop an understanding of the global aspects of business, have an understanding of the ethical aspects of business, demonstrate competence in critical thinking, demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate an understanding of the business core, and demonstrate competence in Finance.
