In the absence of restrictive course requirements, but in close concert with a faculty advisor, our Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities program allows you to explore a multidisciplinary connection that draws from a thoughtful combination of courses in history, philosophy, literature, political science, art history, religion and the modern languages. 

About

The program culminates with a capstone project. Past projects have examined the history of women and blacksmithing in New England, the history and significance of tattoos, the music of social change, and representations of culture and identity in Argentine films. But there are a limitless number of connections you might make between disciplines.

  • A Common Application or a UNE Application with the $40 application fee.
  • Official proof of English Language Proficiency. 
  • Official SAT* or ACT results are required. 
  • Official copy of high school transcript or four-year educational record. International transcripts must be provided in English with grading scale or using traditional U.S. Education System grade scale. If your educational institution cannot provide this, your transcript must be evaluated through World Education Services.
