Professor Denise Davis-Maye was chosen to participate in the 2015 Columbia University Institute for Research in African-American Studies’ two-week Summer Teachers and Scholars program.

AUM students regularly participate in the annual meetings of the Alabama-Mississippi Sociological Association, frequently taking top honors in the Undergraduate Paper Competition.

Students have the opportunity for internships in local social service agencies such as Child Protect, Aid to Inmate Mothers, Comfort Care Hospice, and Common Ground.

A completed AUM online application; no application fee.
Your official high school transcript (which should be mailed or e-mailed directly to AUM from your high school) and official English translation if your transcript is not in English.
Proof of English proficiency (unless you are exempt). You can take the TOEFL IBT (minimum 61 points), the IELTS (minimum 5.5 points), PTE (minimum 44), or the TOEFL PBT (minimum 500 points). More information about English proficiency test requirements.
