Program Options

The Nursing undergraduate program at Auburn University at Montgomery prepared graduate is prepared to provide comprehensive care in a variety of acute, community and rehabilitative settings. The baccalaureate curriculum provides a solid foundation for graduate study. All nursing program options have been developed consistent with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing -- Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice(AACN, 2008) and The Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing (AACN, 2011). The DNP program has been developed consistent with The Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice (AACN, 2006).

Traditional Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Program: This is a pre-licensure program for non-nurses who have met the prerequisite course work and have been accepted into the limited access Nursing Program.
RN to BSN: Educational Advancement for Registered Nurses (EARN) program: This is a program for registered nurses who have an Associate’s Degree and are seeking a BSN degree. This program is offered totally online.

General requirements

A completed AUM online application; no application fee.
Your official high school transcript (which should be mailed or e-mailed directly to AUM from your high school) and official English translation if your transcript is not in English.
Proof of English proficiency (unless you are exempt). You can take the TOEFL IBT (minimum 61 points), the IELTS (minimum 5.5 points), PTE (minimum 44), or the TOEFL PBT (minimum 500 points). More information about English proficiency test requirements.
Proof of sufficient financial resources (Bank statement and/or letter from your sponsor in English). The bank statement should show at least $28,625 available.
