Program Description

Art historians are needed in art galleries, auction houses, private and corporate art collections, art foundations, and non-profit or government organizations and institutions dedicated to arts and culture. By finishing the Art History program at Auburn University at Montgomery you could work designing exhibitions for museums, consulting on historical design for film, television, and theater, or as an antique dealer.

General requirements

A completed AUM online application; no application fee.
Your official high school transcript (which should be mailed or e-mailed directly to AUM from your high school) and official English translation if your transcript is not in English.
Proof of English proficiency (unless you are exempt). You can take the TOEFL IBT (minimum 61 points), the IELTS (minimum 5.5 points), PTE (minimum 44), or the TOEFL PBT (minimum 500 points). More information about English proficiency test requirements.
Proof of sufficient financial resources (Bank statement and/or letter from your sponsor in English). The bank statement should show at least $28,625 available.
