About

Wentworth’s Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). You will take courses in drawing, model making, manufacturing technologies (such as computer-aided design and rapid prototyping), user research and design history. Much of your learning will occur through participation in studio-based projects and co-op experiences that are designed to complement the studio curriculum.As a graduate, you will have ample opportunities to create for mass and private markets in areas such as consumer products, education, children’s toys, sports and medical equipment, footwear, housewares, furniture and exhibition design. Many graduates begin their careers as consultants and in-house designers for some of the nation’s leading brands. As they continue their professional growth, they often advance into leadership roles within their organizations, making top-level decisions as design directors and creative managers.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

Academic Requirements

  • In order to receive full consideration for admittance, we encourage students to sit for the SAT no later than January of each year. Applicants who either apply or who take the SAT after January will be reviewed on a space-available basis for the intended major.
