What Can You Do With a Degree in Psychology?
Rapid social, cultural, and technological changes in our world make it more important than ever to increase our understanding of the widest possible range of human experience and behavior. It’s one of the reasons why psychology remains a fast-growing field—and why earning your psychology degree will help give you an edge in the job market.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of psychologists is projected to grow 14 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Clinical, counseling, and school psychologists are among the fastest growing jobs, with greater demand for psychological services in schools, hospitals, mental health centers, and social service agencies driving employment growth.
Graduates are prepared for a variety of careers in clinical, educational, human service and management settings, and research. They are also well positioned to enter graduate studies in psychology, counseling, social work, and related fields.
