Theatre students at Dean College experience a wide array of courses in acting, musical theatre, technical production, script writing, directing, teaching, and stage management, along with liberal arts classes that broaden your education.
Dean presents 10 productions each year, ranging from contemporary comedies and classical plays, to musicals and the avant-garde, providing multiple opportunities to practice as an actor, singer, dancer, director, lighting/set/costume designer or stage manager.
Students work closely with faculty mentors who have hands-on experience in the theatre world. Dean faculty members have won awards as performers, directors, singers, and designers.

Dean College awards more than $20 million in scholarships and grants annually to assist students in funding their educations. An astonishing 90 percent of Dean students receive some form of merit-based aid with an average award amount of $19,000 per year. Dean College believes in making a private college education as affordable as possible, therefore most awards are renewable yearly provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress towards a degree.
