The English major features in-depth coursework ranging from literature and poetry to creative writing and journalism. At the same time, you’ll take an array of liberal arts courses to round out your education.
Classes at Dean College are small, so you’ll get personal attention from professors who know your strengths and goals. And you’ll have many opportunities to practice your craft by writing for Inscriptions, the department’s literary journal.
When you graduate, you’ll be prepared to transfer to a four-year program and then pursue graduate or professional study. And you’ll be ready for a successful career in the law, education, banking, publishing, social work, consulting, business—or wherever your passion takes you.
