Overview

The PGA Golf Management program offered by Florida Gulf Coast University includes business planning, turfgrass management, golf facility operations, golf merchandising, human resources management and three distinct golf instruction classes focused on teaching the game, club-fitting, using state-of the-art instructional technology and developing a teaching business.

Upon completion of the university's requirements, PGA requirements, and 16 months of internship, students are eligible to become Class A PGA Members upon graduation.

Graduates with B.S. in PGA Golf Management from Florida Gulf Coast University will be able to:

Identify and demonstrate content/discipline, proficiencies and skills relevant to the operational areas of PGA Golf Management

Evaluate information, make decisions and using critical thinking and problem solving skills in the golf industry.

Demonstrate and apply knowledge of pedagogical principles of golf instruction.

Adapt and apply theories presented in golf facility management during a variety of experiential learning environments.
