Speech-language pathologists help stroke victims struggling to talk to their family and kindergartners frustrated when their teachers can’t understand their words. As a speech-language pathology and audiology major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, you take your first, important step toward becoming a speech-language pathologist or audiologist.

Programme Structure

Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Curriculum

  • Some of the undergraduate classes in the major include Clinical Phonology, Aural Rehabilitation, Language Development, and Speech Science. Students also study topics such as school law and educational psychology. IUP has an outstanding reputation for preparing students for hands-on practice.
  • Students have the opportunity to gain experience at our Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic on campus. There are also groups at IUP such as the National Student Speech, Language, and Hearing Association that are geared towards connecting students with similar academic and professional interests.
