Modern Languages - Spanish Language and Culture from Pittsburg State University seeks to develop a broader understanding of Hispanic cultures through their primary manifestation: language. In addition to improving the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, our courses expose students to historical, literary, and social artifacts of Spanish-speaking cultures.

Careers

With an emphasis on language and critical thinking, a Modern Languages in Spanish undergraduate degree with Spanish prepares students for graduate work and/or careers with an international focus. Many students choose Spanish as a second major to complement a career in business, law, or social and health services. The simple fact is, a Modern Languages degree complements any major degree program.
