The Department of Recreation and Sport Management at Coastal Carolina University offers a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management that develops the foundational skills, knowledge, and experience for successful entry into the high-demand sport and recreation fields.

In this degree, students will learn the business of recreation and sport, including aspects of activity leadership, facility management, program planning, fan experience, risk management, marketing and promotion, and media and public relations. Students grow into professionals through courses and experiential training in finance, economics, marketing, law, and more.

The B.S. in Recreation and Sport Management prides itself on dynamic experiential learning opportunities that result in most students graduating with more than 700 hours of field experience including a 480-hour internship. The internship is a semester-long capstone experience aligned with their career goals.
