Kean fine arts majors exhibit their work in the University’s many galleries and enjoy trips to world-renowned museums in New York City, a global center for the visual arts. Internship opportunities are available in local galleries, arts centers, businesses and artists' studios, paving the way for our students' professional success.  

What You Learn

In Kean’s fine arts program, you will acquire and apply a well-rounded knowledge of art history, theory and techniques.

Kean offers a B.A. in Fine Arts and a BFA degree in studio art.*

Studio art options for specialization include: painting/drawing, illustration, photography, printmaking, furniture/woodworking, ceramics and digital media.

  • Prospective students will need to submit an official high school transcript upon graduation to enroll at Kean. 
  • All applicants are required to submit an official high school transcript to be considered for admission. The transcript must indicate 16 college preparatory courses including (4) English, (3) Mathematics, (2) History, (2) Lab Sciences, (2) years of the same foreign language and (3) approved electives in social studies, science or mathematics.
