What Will I Learn?

You will learn how the body responds and adapts to physical activity and exercise. All students must complete core coursework in exercise programming, motor behavior, psychology, and injury prevention.

Because this Exercise Science, Human Performance and Fitness Concentration at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania prepares you for careers in the fitness, performance, health, and human services industries, coursework emphasizes learning how to work with people on a variety of health and fitness goals in a variety of settings, ranging from individualized personal training to group exercise instruction to clinical and athletic populations.
