While the department offers more narrowly focused degree programs in biology, chemistry, and microbiology, this program allows the student more flexibility in tailoring a degree program to his/her unique needs. 

The Biological and Physical Sciences degree program at the University of Houston Downtown will prepare those interested in graduate work. It will also prepare students for rewarding careers through smaller classes, faculty mentoring, modern labs, hands-on experience, and flexible class options.
