Overview

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Fort Hays State University offers a Bachelor of General Studies through a diverse, supportive liberal arts program. It is a degree-completion option for students who have well-defined career objectives and do not require a course-specific or career-specific degree. The General Business program includes general education requirements and an area of concentration.

The College of Business and Leadership MBA Option

A special cooperative program for undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences is available for those students interested in pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree. Under this program, students may be able to obtain MBA degrees in two years after the completion of their undergraduate degrees by taking appropriate pre-MBA electives during their four-year undergraduate programs.

Students could then receive the BA, BS, or BGS degree plus the MBA degree within six years, if they are accepted into the MBA program. This joint program gives students the advantage of a solid liberal arts undergraduate education and the excellent employment prospects of a degree in business.
