The program teaches students to be flexible and to identify and analyze strategic problems of any level while also taking a holistic approach toward solving complex, ever-changing business problems. Learning ethical, Christ-centered leadership and decision-making skills are a hallmark of the program.

Career Ready

Upon completion of Samford University’s Management major, graduates are prepared to pursue management positions in a wide array of organizations. Throughout the program, students receive unparalleled hands-on experiences such as internships, career fairs and networking events, presentation execution and real-world learning opportunities which aid in preparing them for a successful career.

Internships

Management majors have the chance to network with employers at the annual Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing Department career night. This event, along with other regular professional development opportunities throughout the year, allows students to connect with industry professionals to learn more about internships and full-time career opportunities.

Management majors typically complete at least one internship during their time at Samford. In the past, Samford management majors have had the opportunity to intern for organizations such as Christian Service Mission, Chick-fil-A, Daxko, O.Henry’s Coffee, Innovation Depot, Walt Disney World Resort, Meredith Inc., Keller Williams and O’Neal Steel.
