Specializing in exercise science opens opportunities in both the cardiac rehabilitation and corporate fitness fields, as well as prepares you for graduate studies in exercise physiology, biomechanics, occupational therapy and other allied health fields.

The Exercise Science program of Texas Woman's University highlights experiential learning – or learning by doing. You will take courses where you get hands-on experience analyzing motion in a high-tech biomechanics lab, measuring oxygen consumption during exercise and reading electrocardiograms in the exercise physiology lab. You also will develop skills using state-of-the art equipment.

This program’s coursework requires you to work directly with children with special needs and older adults at risk for diabetes. You will have experience that will set you apart from your peers once you graduate with this degree from Texas Woman’s.
