The Computer Information Systems emphasis of our Business Administration bachelor’s program offers a variety of hands-on learning opportunities designed to give you practical experience and a competitive edge in the job market.

Within the curriculum, particular attention is paid to the strategic nature of technology. In the CIS program, students acquire knowledge of computer programming, networking, systems analysis and design, database management systems, decision support systems and e-commerce.

Graduates of the Business Administration - Computer Information Systems Emphasis program at University of Northern Colorado usually enter the job market as programmers/analysts or networking personnel.

Subsequent positions may include systems analysts, database administrators and network administration. Most CIS graduates focus on creating and implementing software and procedures used to service large and small organizations including manufacturing, retail, wholesale, financial, insurance, communications and government groups.
