The University of Michigan-Flint School of Nursing Accelerated Second Degree BSN Program provides an opportunity for students with previous bachelor’s degrees from regionally accredited institutions, as well as veterans of the United States military services with honorable or general discharges, active duty service members, and members of the National Guard or Reserves, to complete the requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing in an accelerated format. Students must be committed to an intense, concentrated program of study, which consists of four full-time semesters of nursing courses completed over 16 months.

General requirements
- The pre-nursing curriculum must be successfully completed prior to beginning Semester 1 of the program. Admitted BSN students who do not successfully complete all pre-nursing courses will be withdrawn from the program.
- Admissions decisions are made by the Undergraduate Nursing Admissions Committee and are final; there is no appeal process.
- English proficiency is required if English is not the native language, regardless of citizenship or permanent resident status and length of time in the United States.
