As an Environmental Science and Resource Management student at California State University Channel Islands, you will work in the lab and the field to master the fundamentals of ecology, physics, and chemistry, as you examine the intersection between humans and biophysical environments they inhabit. You will gain a variety of skills necessary for the Environmental Science professional of the 21st century: Geographic Information Systems, quantitative data analyses and presentation, technical writing, and a wide variety of field and lab methodologies.

You'll be able to apply your skills in meaningful research, service-learning and civic engagement projects across Ventura County, the United States and the globe. Our students have helped restore coastal ecological systems in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina.
