Students in the Digital Media Studies program at Tarleton State University choose from one of two major emphasis areas:

Media Production provides students with the conceptual and practical skills for working in digital imaging and design, film, and new-media production

Video Game Design gives students experience in the production and critical study of video game design, from concept art, to level design and full game production

Throughout your education at Tarleton State University, the Digital Media Studies program will supply you with an intellectually stimulating environment comprised of lectures, critiques, student groups, performances by prominent artists, as well as field trips to creative shows and exhibits. With small class sizes, our program makes sure each student has the chance to receive guidance from our experienced faculty members.

Program Objectives

Students will develop skills in web development, interactive design, digital graphics, e-marketing, electronic business, and marketing. The curriculum is composed of diverse Art, Communication, Computer Science, and English courses to offer a vast set of skills that give students an upper hand in the current job market.
