Overview

The Sport Management programme of Rutgers University allows students to learn and apply their skills in areas such as sustainability and diversity, coaching and athlete development, sport marketing & finance, sport analytics, administration, facilities and event management, and legal issues. Students who graduate majoring in sport management leave with the knowledge and skills to become successful professionals in the ever-evolving world of sport.

Careers

The Department of Kinesiology and Health prepares students for a wide range of opportunities in both the Exercise Science and Sport Management fields. Both of these areas continue to grow in scope, depth and diversity.

The desire to be fit and the public’s awareness of the importance of good health has heightened the need for trained professionals. As the population ages, the need for practitioners in the fields of medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and wellness will continue to expand. On the other end of the age spectrum, technological advances in neonatal care and early intervention will require these same practitioners to focus on children and youth.
