The program of study prepares students for three career paths (Exercise Science, Coaching and Leadership and Physical Education Teacher Certification).

Graduates of the Kinesiology - Certification program at University of the Incarnate Word have found employment as physical educators in elementary and secondary private and public schools and universities. Graduates may also prepare for work in the private sector in camps and fitness centers by choosing a non-certification or personal trainer concentration. Graduates have also gained employment at public and private institutions like Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Food Bank.
