In the Communication and Digital Media Studies (Honours) program from Ontario Tech University you will learn about the fast-changing communication environment in which we live, explore the social and cultural impacts of many media and technology, and hone professionally relevant communication skills.
You will develop specialized knowledge about how a range of media forms like TV shows, films, video games, wearables, smartphones, tablets, blogs, social networking platforms and search engines are changing the world.
You will become a strong communicator who is able to present your ideas in a variety of forms such as research essays, case studies, journals, blogs, digital stories, mini-TED Talks, debates and videos.

General requirements

Completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma including English SL or HL. Prerequisite courses can be presented at the Standard or Higher Level with no score lower than 4.

A minimum overall score of 24 is require for admission consideration; actual admitting scores vary from program to program.

For Engineering and Science degrees, applicants must present Math SL or HL and/or Further Math HL.

Final IB results must be sent to the university electronically by the International Baccalaureate office.

If you are not completing the full IB Diploma, individual IB courses may be considered for admission. Official transcripts and proof of high school graduation must be submitted directly from your institution.
