Upon completion of the four year baccalaureate program in nursing, graduates are eligible to take the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensure exam (NCLEX) to become a Registered Nurse.

The Nursing program at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga gives students the opportunity to experience a variety of care settings. Classes and clinical groups are small, which allows for individualized attention.

With a BSN, you are also prepared for graduate study in nursing. The emphasis of the program is on use of knowledge and skills to plan and implement nursing care. Critical thinking and decision-making skills are emphasized. The BSN program has outstanding faculty that provide leadership in the area’s health care delivery system and professional organizations.
