In an effort to provide a clear path to graduation and improve upper level course availability, the Department of Biology, Geology and Environmental Science revised and approved a new curriculum in 2013.

Majors may pursue either a General Biology Concentration or a Biology: Preprofessional program at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Students seeking licensure to teach Biology should pursue their major through Biology: STEM Education B.S.

Students from previous catalog years (before 2013-2014) may change to the new curriculum if desired.
