Overview

The mission of the Physical Education (K-12) program of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University is to prepare graduates who can compete and interact effectively within the continually evolving fields of physical education, health, sport, and recreation.

What you'll learn

HPER students participate in a wide variety of experiences that go beyond classroom work. You will be exposed to professors from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. In addition, the HPER faculty members are dedicated educators who regularly engage in professional development activities on the national, state and local levels to stay abreast of information and contribute to the growth of the profession.

You will be challenged to be actively engaged in the learning process by applying practical application and critical thinking skills learned in your coursework. Our programs will prepare you to be a part of the solution to improve health, fitness and quality of life for youth and adults.

The undergraduate application is available online only.
A $35 nonrefundable application fee is required.
Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results
Submit official ACT and/or Redesigned SAT results, if entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
Complete the International Student Financial Statement.
Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through one of these accelerated mechanisms.
Submit official English Proficiency TOEFL and/or IELTS Test Scores if your native language is not English
