Outcomes
- Language Competency: Students should demonstrate language competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing appropriate to the level studied.
- Cultural Awareness: Students should be able to display knowledge about the various aspects of the target culture appropriate to the level studied. Majors in French and Spanish should be able to use target language in both written and oral form to address complex questions related to cultural awareness and social justice issues.
- Global Engagement: Students will be exposed to the diversity of cultures, values and perspectives through academic and cultural activities at home and abroad. Students should be able to connect with knowledge appropriate to the level studied, to the target culture, discern about global and social justice issues and contrast and compare with their own culture.
