Our Studio Art program at Lamar University offers you the opportunity to work in spacious, creative environments, and you'll have access to our Mac labs any time you wish.

Our students also have the chance to display their own works of art throughout the Art Building and the Dishman Art Museum on campus, wonderful opportunities available to you so that you can build your portfolio that you can present to others upon graduation.

Career paths

At the completion of the program, students may choose to pursue a career as a professional artist, a career related field, or successfully continue their professional preparation in graduate study. Many students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in studio art pursue graduate study leading to the Master of Fine Arts degree.

Submit Application. All international applicants should submit online applications through the Apply Texas system.

Submit Official Evaluation of Transcripts. International Undergraduate applicants must have an official report of course-by-course evaluated transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary work sent to Lamar University directly by the evaluating agency.

Submit Admission Test Scores. International Freshman and International Transfer applicants should have SAT and/or ACT scores issued to Lamar University directly by the testing agency.

Provide Proof of English Language Proficiency.
