Overview
The first two years of this program are typically based on a 2-year AAS degree, certifications at a technology program, or military training. Students are accepted from technical two-year programs throughout the state and nation.
This Industrial Technology degree at Lamar University builds on the successful completion of an Associate of Applied Science degree, technical certification, military ACE credits, or equivalent study.
Features
This curriculum is designed to prepare two-year technology graduates to work effectively in the engineer-technologist team and to assume management responsibilities.
The degree covers topics of interests to industry including project management, six sigma, lean manufacturing, logistics, supply chain management, work design, safety, maintenance, and production planning.
The B.S. IT degree is 100% online. Many students who work full time have been able to complete the program.

- Submit Official Evaluation of Transcripts. International Undergraduate applicants must have an official report of course-by-course evaluated transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary work sent to Lamar University directly by the evaluating agency.
- Submit Admission Test Scores. International Freshman and International Transfer applicants should have SAT and/or ACT scores issued to Lamar University directly by the testing agency.
