Students study the historical, literary, linguistic and religious elements of Greece and Rome and choose from two concentrations: language or culture. Qualified students may also join the Theta Delta chapter of Eta Sigma Phi — the national honor society for classical studies.
Study Greek or Latin authors in their original languages. Explore English translations of ancient texts. Examine the Greco-Roman world from the third millennium B.C. to the Middle Ages. The curriculum offered by Seton Hall University touches on every aspect of history and culture in these ancient worlds, including language and literature, philosophy, religion and mythology, science, politics, drama and art.
