The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department’s mission is to provide graduates that meet society’s current and future technical needs by delivering quality and accessible education, to promote creation and dissemination of knowledge, and to serve society and economic development through professional practice and community outreach, locally and globally.
Outcomes
The program educational objectives (PEOs) of the Electrical Engineering Degree Program at University of South Alabama are to produce graduates who, during their first few years after graduation, will:
- Achieve professional advancement with increasing responsibility, leadership, and mentorship.
- Function effectively on multidisciplinary teams, and individually, to develop and apply electrical engineering solutions within a global, societal, and environmental context.
- Communicate effectively and manage resources skillfully as members and leaders of their profession.

General requirements
- University of South Alabama International Application for Admission with the $35 processing fee
- Academic records detailing course work completed in secondary schools with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 as calculated by the Office of International Admissions and Student Programs
- English Proficiency Requirement
- Applicants who are a citizens of or have completed secondary education in a country exempt from providing proof of English proficiency have the option to submit either and ACT (overall score of 19), SAT (overall score of 990), or English Proficiency Exam from the list above
- Deposits - A non-refundable admissions deposit of $500 USD will be required of a student before an I-20 or DS-2019 is issued.
