Overview
This Logistics Management programme from Central Michigan University teaches you the important steps in a supply chain: the journey products take from being raw materials to ending up in your hands. You'll learn how to manage everything from getting the right parts to factories, to making sure stores have enough stock, all while keeping things efficient. Whether you're running a small business or working for a giant corporation, it's all about making sure people get what they want, when they want it.
Programme Highlights
Logistics management majors gain valuable experience that goes well beyond the classroom.
- Get real-world experience: You'll be required to do an internship as part of the programme, giving you up to 480 hours of on-the-job experience. This hands-on training is the perfect way to learn the ropes from industry professionals.
- Land your dream job faster: Companies look to hire the logistics programme graduates directly. That means you'll have a head start when it comes to finding the perfect career.
- Become a master problem-solver: In this programme, you can become "Lean Six Sigma certified." It's a set of skills used by top companies to improve efficiency and fix logistics issues. Basically, you'll learn how to be a super problem-solver, a skill that's valuable in any career.
- Join the clubs: Central Michigan has two registered student organizations for logistics. The Logistics Management Council Honours Society (LMC) gives you access to professional development events, conferences, and helps you connect with top students and professionals in the field. The Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) also provides networking opportunities and valuable practical experiences.
