Overview
The Printmaking curriculum at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette fosters exploration into advanced black and white and color printing processes while providing a working knowledge of the history of printmaking.
In addition, students work in alternative printing processes involving photomechanical and computer assessed printmaking applications to expand on traditional techniques and presentations through experimentation with the mark, the matrix, and the multiple.

- Students have the opportunity to collaborate with Marais Press — a professional printmaking editioning press located in the Department of Visual Arts.
- The Marais Press hosts prominent local, regional, national, and international printmakers and artists to collaborate with students in and outside of the printmaking concentration, and to experiment with new and alternative printmaking techniques, processes, and research.
