During the Design and Technology BFA program offered by The New School students develop a sustainable process for researching, experimenting, designing, prototyping, iterating, and producing projects that keeps pace with evolving technology.

Pathways

Game Design: Gain an understanding of the game design process, from brainstorming to game publication, with a focus on the aesthetic and cultural aspects of designing games.
Creative Technology: Combine physical computing, coding, user experience, responsive environment, and immersion technology to develop innovative design solutions and creative expression.

Future Opportunities

Graduates of the BFA Design and Technology program are equipped for careers in game design, virtual reality and immersive experience design, motion graphics, animation, video production, front- and back-end Web design, design research, and graphic arts.
