Overview

This program prepares you to be a critically minded and creative teacher capable of developing lessons and projects to help your future students become skilled, confident, and ethical users of the English language.You'll engage in courses like British, American, and world literature, linguistics, digital media, and writing to further your understanding of the English language.
The B.S. in English Education is fully accredited by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GAPSC) for teacher certification and nationally recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

General requirements
- A completed Undergraduate Application for Admission to Kennesaw State University submitted online with a nonrefundable application processing fee.
- Official or certified true copies of all high school and/or college/university records with a certified English translation. International students are required to have an official evaluation of credentials done by an outside agency at the student’s expense. College transcripts should receive a course-by-course evaluation. Official transcripts and evaluations must be mailed directly from the sending institution, sent by an approved electronic service, or hand-delivered in a sealed college envelope. A KSU evaluation of credits will not occur until satisfactory documents are on file. It is up to the academic department as to which credits will actually apply to the degree program
