You need an elementary education degree from Indiana University Kokomo. The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (Grades K-6) is known for high expectations, field experiences from your very first semester, and an environment built on the support of your cohort of peers and one-on-one work with professors just as passionate about teaching as you.

As you progress through the program, you will connect and grow with a close-knit group of future teachers from your first semester through graduation. During your time here, you’ll gain a variety of diverse field experiences in a variety of real-world settings, like one of the school districts in our CEP, to help prepare you to take over your own classroom. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible to apply for licensure in elementary education to teach grades

The mission of Indiana University Kokomo, a regional campus of Indiana University, is to enhance the educational and professional attainment of the residents of north central Indiana through effective teaching, learning, and civic engagement and by providing a wide range of bachelor's degrees, and a limited number of master's and associate degrees.
