Overview

The Community Health Education program at The City University of New York facilitates the involvement of individuals, communities, and community-based organizations to promote health and well-being, improved health status, disease prevention, outreach and advocacy, and removing barriers to health equity. Upon completing the degree program, students can sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam.

Students will be able to demonstrate a core understanding of wellness.

Students will become qualified Community Health Educators.
