The Mission of the Division of Interior Design from University of Oklahoma is to provide professional undergraduate
and graduate education in interior design within a collaborative, multidisciplinary
learning environment. The disciplinary perspectives shares a common pedagogy within
the College of Architecture divisions, engaging high tech knowledge with high touch
skills in preparing new graduates to solve problems related to global challenges facing
the profession of interior design in practice.

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
You will graduate under the program through which you entered unless you confirm in writing that you wish to work with a more recently adopted change. Always check in with your advisor each semester, even if you are quite clear about your planning.The program strongly supports practicum/intern experience during summers and the school year. The majority of employers would like you to have computer and intern experience prior to being hired by them! You may choose to receive credit for your experience(s), and the faculty encourage a paid experience.
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
