    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

General Requirements

  • The nonrefundable application fee ($30 in U.S. funds) is payable by credit card or money order.
  • Students must write a 400-500 word essay on the following topic: "What will I do to bring cultural and international perspectives to Grand Valley?" This statement must be typed and signed.
  • Original or certified copy of all academic records from all secondary schools and/or universities you have attended
  • Diplomas or graduate certificates from all high schools or universities where you have earned a degree
  • National exit test results (if applicable)
