Overview
The Nursing program at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is divided into two parts: pre-nursing and the professional major. The pre-nursing portion includes two years of prerequisite courses, math and English general education courses.. Students are then required to apply to the nursing major. Students will actively engage in a curriculum that prepares professional nurses to respond to current and future health care needs and population health issues. Upon graduation, students are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to earn licensure.
