In addition to general university scholarships and student employment, Technology and Engineering Studies, Teaching major of Brigham Young University offers scholarships, an academic internship program with industry, and a variety of departmental part-time jobs such as research assistant, new-product developer, lab assistant, paper grader, electronics technician, maintenance assistant, computer operator, etc.

An industrial experience/internship in the major before graduation is required. Qualified students enroll in an academic internship, which must be approved before the actual experience. A formal report and employer evaluation are required.

The admission criteria are the same for all entry dates. One semester or term is not easier to get into over another.
