Overview
The program's coursework focuses on varying areas including: physiology of exercise, motor control, biomechanics, and rehabilitative exercise. Students are also able to complete an approved hands-on internship experience, or choose to pursue a program track full of approve elective courses in place of the internship. The Exercise Science program prepares students for a variety of career paths after graduation, including medical school. Specifically, the program is naturally fitted with most physical therapy programs.
The bachelor's degree in exercise science is a professional program that requires a secondary admission process once a student is enrolled at University of Kansas. This professional program is competitive and only admits a limited number of KU students each semester.
