Key facts

Korean Language and Literature is part of the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures.Asian studies, art history, business, fine arts, history, international affairs, religion and women’s studies.

Students learn to read, write and speak Korean. They not only learn about the Korean way of thinking but also gain the ability to view themselves and others in a broader perspective.

What is the Korean Language and Literature community like at GW?

The Korean program works closely with other East Asian and wider humanities communities within and beyond George Washington University. For example, the annual Hahn Moo-Sook Colloquium Series has provided a forum for intellectual dialogue among the faculty and students of George Washington Universityand neighboring universities and people from public and private sectors of the greater Washington area.
