The Department of Computer Science at the College of William & Mary offers an undergraduate major leading to a B.S. degree and a graduate program leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Our full-time faculty teach the courses from the freshman level to graduate research seminars. Students at all levels have the opportunity to pursue research projects either individually or in groups.

Career Planning

Trained in logical thinking and creative problem-solving using the structures to represent and process information, our undergraduate majors are well positioned for success in the sciences, engineering, business, entertainment, education, and more.

A significant number pursue graduate-level study in law, medicine, or a field related to computer science, sometimes with the goal of obtaining a Ph.D. and teaching at the university level.
