- Freshmen must: 1. Provide evidence of high school graduation with a curriculum that would prepare you for university studies in your home country
- Credentials and Requirements by Country for Freshman Addition to the College of LIberal Arts and Sciences
- 2. Have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
- 3. Submit English proficiency test scores (dependent upon score level, scores are used to either determine English proficiency or to estimate students' placement in an appropriate level of ESL courses, as needed)
- Students considering a major in EALC should begin language training as soon as possible, starting with CHIN 104/JPN 104/KOR 104 and then, JPN 108/CHIN 108/KOR 108 in the first year with advancement to the intermediate 204-208 level in the sophomore year. Students are encouraged to take ECIV 304/ECIV 305 as soon as possible.
