As an industrial engineer you will investigate new ways to make your company more profitable; you will identify opportunities to improve your company’s performance in the global marketplace; you will be challenged to innovate, solve problems, and keep your firm ahead of the competition; you will design, analyze, build, and improve systems to produce and distribute goods and services; you will work on product development teams, helping designers create products that can be manufactured easily and inexpensively; and you will play a major role in creating high-performance systems that are more productive, more responsive to customers, and cost less.
